this afternoon wyatt and seth were happily playing with water guns on our deck when i came in the house just for a minute or so to check my email. it may have taken more than a minute, and i may have tootled around on the computer more than i'd planned. when i went back out to check on them, i discovered this little sight:
wyatt had "shampooed" seth's hair with bubble solution, drenched his clothes in the process, and had proceeded to give seth a haircut. and not just a little trim, either. this is the approximate length he cut off of seth's hair (and there was quite a bit of it on the deck):
i don't quite know yet what seth is going to look like with his new haircut. his hair was plastered to his head, and i sent him up to his room for Rest Time before it had time to dry. nevertheless, wyatt assured me that he made it look "really cool in the back."
we'll see.

we will add this to the long list of shenanigans that will be epically known as "the adventures of Wyatt and Seth."
Too funny! I can't wait to see Wyatt's handiwork, and I'm sure whatever the look, Seth is cool enough to pull it off.

That is the funniest thing I've read all day. Thanks for having the instinct to grab a picture before breaking up the unexpected styling. Have you considered a career in photojournalism? ;-)

Rest Assured!!! Wyatt inherited this skill from his mother. She cut off 4 inches of her own white blond hair at the age of 3. She went from a head of flowing white blond locks to a head that looked like a swimming cap faster than the few minutes it took to look at her e-mail.
Oh, and I have my own little book entitled, "the adventures of Miska".
That's hysterical, but I can see Wyatt doing something like that.

my 4 year old daughter did the same thing. Her hair was very long and she took a pair of scissors to the top. she gave herself a Billy Ray Cyrus mullet. The nice thing about boys is, if the haircut is scarey enough, you can give them a crewcut. Girls are out of luck! Oh well, ity eventually grows back!
